Day 1: Arrival in Arusha,Tanzania “Karibu”

Day 2,3: Tarangire National Park (Full Game Drive)

It is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania

  • Picnic lunch provided or Lunch at Safari Lodge

  • It covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers or 1,100 square miles

  • The landscape varies from granitic ridges to river valley and swamps. Vegetation is

    a mix of Acacia and Baobab trees, woodlands and seasonally flooded grassland

  • The park’s namesake, the Tarangire River, winds through the middle of the park

    and provides the primary source of fresh water for animals in the Tarangire

    ecosystem

  • The park is known for its high concentration of elephants

  • In 2015, a white giraffe was spotted in the park

  • It has many Baobab trees, large, impressive trees that can live for thousands of

    years.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Floor Tour (Full Game Drive)

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (covers 3201 square miles)

  • Picnic next to a Hippo Pond

  • NCA was established in 1959 and is a unique protected area in the whole of Africa

    where conservation of natural resources is integrated with human development.

  • The crater itself is a sunken volcano and is the largest intact, un-flooded volcanic

    caldera in the world

  • It exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago

  • It spans 260 square kilometers (about 100 square miles), is about 12 miles across

    and 610 meters (2,000 feet) deep

Day 6,7,8: Serengeti National Park (Game Drive)

The park is Tanzania's oldest national park

  • The park covers an area 14,750 square kilometers or 5,700 sq miles of grassland

    plains, savanna, riverine forest, and woodlands

  • The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest in the world

  • It boasts a staggering 8,500 giraffe, 10,000 eland, 200,000 zebra, 1.3 million

    wildebeest, 1,500 lions, 1,000 elephants, 280,000 Thompson’s gazelles, 25,000

    buffalo, 500 species of birds, 72,000 Topi, and 32,000 Grant’s gazelle

  • The annual wildebeest migration is arguably the most spectacular and breath-

    taking wildlife event in the world

  • Over 1.4 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra and gazelle, migrate in a clockwise

    direction for over 1,800 miles in search of rain ripened grass

Day 9: Ndutu -Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Game Drive)
